Hotels and riads

Web development and direct booking for hotels and riads in Morocco.

Most guests find a Moroccan riad on a booking platform, and every night sold there carries a commission. We set up the other side: your own site, your own booking flow, availability that stays in step with the platforms you already sell on, and a Google listing that points at all of it.

What we set up

The whole booking side, not only a website.

These are the pieces we put in place for Riad Villa Elizabeth in Nouaceur, and the same ones we set up for a hotel, a guesthouse or a villa.

The site itself.

Rooms, rates and the experience readable at a glance, photographs that load on a phone rather than making a traveller wait, and the languages your guests actually arrive in.

Direct booking.

A booking flow that lives at your own address, so a guest who already knows your name can reserve with you instead of through someone else.

Availability in step.

Your calendar kept in sync with the platforms you already sell on, so a room taken in one place stops being offered in the others.

The identity around it.

Logo, colours and typography that hold together from the site to the signage, the welcome book and the plate on the door.

Found on Google.

Your Google Business Profile set up and pointed at your own booking page, so the map result leads somewhere you own.

Why it matters

The platforms are not the problem. Being only on them is.

Booking platforms earn their commission. They put you in front of travellers who would never have found you, in countries you do not market in, and that reach is worth paying for.

What costs you is having no other way in. The guest who stayed last year, the one a friend recommended, the one who found your photographs on Instagram: each of them goes back through the platform, on a booking you had already won. A direct channel is simply somewhere for those guests to land.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do we have to leave Booking.com and the other platforms?

No, and we would not advise it. The platforms bring you guests you cannot reach on your own. Direct booking sits beside them and catches the guests who already know your name, which are the bookings that were costing a commission without bringing any new reach.

If we sell on our own site as well, can the same room be booked twice?

That is what the availability sync exists to prevent. Your site and the platforms read from one calendar, so a room taken in one place stops being offered in the others. For Riad Villa Elizabeth that runs across four channels.

Which languages should a Moroccan riad site be in?

It follows where your guests come from rather than a rule. Riad Villa Elizabeth runs in English and French, because that is who lands at Mohammed V. A property selling into the Gulf or into Spain would need a different pair, and we would rather read your own booking data than guess.
