The brief

Where it started.

Riad Villa Elizabeth sits in Nouaceur, 4.7 km from Mohammed V airport. Its guests are in transit: they land at odd hours, they book from abroad in English or French, and most of them found the villa through the booking platforms, where every night sold costs a commission. The villa needed a home of its own, one that reads clearly on a phone at midnight and can take a reservation without a middleman.

What we built

The pieces, one by one.

  1. 01

    The website

A site built from scratch in English and French, every page mirrored across both languages, and marked up so search engines read it as a hotel: the rooms, the location, and the questions guests ask before they land. The layout starts from the phone, because that is where most guests open it.

  2. 02

    Logo and brand identity

The logo, the wordmark and the whole colour system are ours: a deep navy for the night, a warm yellow reserved for anything the guest should act on, and a coral accent. Poppins carries the headlines, Lato carries the reading.

  3. 03

    Direct booking

The availability search sits in the first screen of the homepage. A guest picks dates and how many people are coming, sees live prices, and confirms without leaving the site and without a platform taking its cut.

  4. 04

    Channel management

One calendar sits behind all of it, synced with Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia and Agoda. A room sold on any one of them closes everywhere else within moments, so the same sixteen rooms can be sold in five places without a double booking.

  5. 05

    Found on Google

The villa now stands on its own inside Google. A traveller who lands and searches for somewhere near the airport finds it on Google Maps, with its photos, its hours and a route to the door. In Google’s hotel search it appears with its own nightly rate and a link straight to the villa’s site, so a guest can go from a Google search to a direct booking with no commission in between.

Proud to have been part of it

We were trusted with all of it, and we are proud to have been part of this project, the way we are with every one we take on. There is more we can do, and this is what this one needed.

On a phone

Built from the phone up

Most people meet a business on a phone, often on a weak connection and in a hurry. Every screen is designed at that width first and then allowed to grow.
